HOSTING an RTR PROGRAM at your Fire, EMS, or other Emergency Response Agency

This is information is given to those wishing to HOST a Ropes That Rescue program at their facility.

These things are needed to BECOME a HOSTING AGENCY:

An official agency Host "Liaison" is needed who will be responsible for communication
The "Liaison" should be able to speak on behalf of the Hosting Agency
The email address, fax number and phone number for the "Liaison"
The physical and mailing address, fax number and phone number for the Host 'accounts payable' and 'contract administrator' if it is different
The necessary rope and equipment for the program
The necessary meeting room, including AV equipment for the classroom portion of the program.
The necessary training locations including all structures
A "working relationship" with your local participating utility, mine or industrial site

These things are needed to LOCK DOWN a specific date for an RTR program:

A signed Contract (Provided by RTR)
A 50% financial commitment at the time that dates are agreed upon
Purchase Order (if applicable)

These things are needed AFTER the RTR seminar dates are arrived at:

Training locations on participating utility structures, mine or industrial sites. Hosting agency should have standing agreements with the property owners of all industrial or wilderness venues, including whatever insurance requirements these property owners may require
Any fees, permits or agreements with government or outside agencies for the use of their sites
Filled out RTR Applications and Participation Agreements for all participants
Digital LCD projector equipment and laser pointer
The printing of the Student Manual from a master supplied by RTR within two weeks of program start
Lodging for instructor(s) if applicable

What is needed AFTER RTR arrives at your location:

Transportation, if applicable
Communication with Host Liaison on a daily basis
Refreshments for students
Replacement equipment, projector, etc. if problems arise with AV equipment during program
